Introduction - what were you investigating? a) How to make a fan that produces enough energy to charge a ipod b) Which make fan makes the highest volts and milliamp c) Which home made fan can produce the most energy d) Which designs materials etc. could produce a wind turbine that produces the highest wattage Prediction - will your design produce enough energy to charge an iPod for an hour in the 10 minutes you have? a) No because the shape was bad b) no c) No d) Probably not - our fan produced very little miliampsand voltage as a result this produced very little wattage Conclusion - What did you discover? a) Paper plate work well : ) b) Make the fan simple and easy c) That you need a small fan for the most power d) It is very difficult to make a wind turbine capable of producing enough energy out of paper. Industrial wind turbines are much more capable Evaluation - How would you improve your windmill design if you were doing this experiment again? a) Use a paper plate b) Make it more simple c) make it smaller d) Probably support the fan more and give it a larger surface area What would you like to ask a power expert about this experiment? a) nothing b) an easer whay to do it c) how to make ours the best d) No- I'm not amazingly interested in this field and I really wouldn't want to |

Taken from group's reports: Introduction - what were you investigating? a) How wind be turned into power b) can our wind terbines can provide enough to power a ipod c) Can our wind terbines can produce enough energy to charge an ipod for an hour Prediction - will your design produce enough energy to charge an iPod for an hour in the 10 minutes you have? a) Yes b) No because our V was 0.0 and our mA was 0.0 because it didn't move c) No because our V was 0.0 and our mA was 0.0 because it didn't move Conclusion - What did you discover? a) We couldn't couldn't create enough energy to power anything b) The closer the fan the faster it is c) The closer the fan the faster it is Evaluation - How would you improve your windmill design if you were doing this experiment again? a) We would add more objects for more wind resistance b) More blades to make more our resistance c) More blades on it to make more our resistance What would you like to ask a power expert about this experiment? a) why ours wouldn't move?! Introduction - what were you investigating? a) We were investigating how to conduct electrisity from wind turbines, and which one could produce the most b) we were investigating how to make electricity from wind turbine that we made from paper, sticks and cardboard to see which windmills made the most volts or milliampas c) we were investigating to see how much electricity our windmill can use Prediction - will your design produce enough energy to charge an iPod for an hour in the 10 minutes you have? a) No I don't think it will be fully charged within 10 minutes. I think if we had a little longer then it possibly would be charged. b) No. I don't think that it will power it for a hour in ten minutes it would need more time. Conclusion - What did you discover? a) That wind turbines produce a lot more energy than I thorght b) Wind turbines makes lots of energy Evaluation - How would you improve your windmill design if you were doing this experiment again? a) I would make it a bit bigger b) I would make it smaller What would you like to ask a power expert about this experiment? |

Introduction - what were you investigating? Windmills Prediction - will your design produce enough energy to charge an iPod for an hour in the 10 minutes you have? No I dont think it will because we diddont have time to finish it Conclusion - What did you discover? Our windmill diddont work Evaluation - How would you improve your windmill design if you were doing this experiment again? Maybe just focus on the whole thing not just little details What would you like to ask a power expert about this experiment? How do you make a wind meal that looks nice and works in the time you are given? Click comments below for answers |
